Maths is learnt best by practicing and with questions. It is not very effective to learn from lectures, reading, and watching alone.
 

Students typically understand a topic quite quickly in one-to-one tuition… but then some of this new knowledge is sometimes forgotten by the exam. To retain a strong understanding, topics should be repeated and ideally spaced out over time.
 

Mixing related topics (interleaving) as opposed to doing all of one topic at once (blocking) can be more efficient.
 

Students often struggle with knowing when to apply certain topics in exams. Doing worksheets on one topic removes this practice of recognising what needs to be used.
 

Past exam questions are generally the best quality material for preparing for an exam. There are other resources, but these are often not in the same style and quality.
